This weekend we have 4 big burly, (supposedly) menly men competing in the first annual Man Challenge at Dicks Sporting Goods Park. Coach Mikey, Luke, Jesse, and Pancake are a team of 4 doing random challenges including some fitness events like rowing, deadlifting, bench pressing, but also doing other stuff we all need to know like change a car tire, build a load bearing structure, start a fire. throw a hatchet. Come out and cheer these guys on as they prove their manliness.

Workout of the Day
Today is a little twist on a favorite Hero WOD “Holleyman”. Normally this includes a Power Clean instead of a Deadlift.

“Holleyman”  U.S. Army Staff Sergeant Aaron N. Holleyman, 27, of Glasgow, Montana, assigned to the 1st Battalion, 5th Special Forces Group, based in Fort Campbell, Kentucky, was killed on August 30, 2004, when his military vehicle hit an improvised explosive device in Khutayiah, Iraq. He is survived by his daughters Shelby and Erin, son Zachary, parents Ross and Glenda, and siblings Kelly and Daniel.

 

30 rounds for time of:
5 Wall ball shots, 20/14  10’/9′
3 Handstand push-ups
1 Deadlift 275/185

*Rx+ option 315/225 Deadlift

*This one is a little tricky to organize at our place but best plan is to do your Wall Balls and HSPU in the same spot – or HSPU’s on the North walls.
