Today marks the start of a very rough but very fun strength program. Smolov is designed to get you super strong in a short period of time. Every time we have done this squat program we have seen most people add somewhere in the range of 20-40 lbs to their 1RM. You’re going to have to work hard for it though.

*Make sure you are taking enough rest between sets. About 2 minutes between sets should be enough.

*To give you an idea of what your week will look like, we will squat on Monday 6×6, ¬†Wednesday 7×5, Friday 8×4, and Saturday 10×3. Don’t expect to see many thrusters or wallballs or deadlifts over the next few weeks, but rest assured as soon as this cycle is over we will be right back into these fantastic movements.
