September: Alpines Month of Awareness!

September is shaping up to be a BIG month for Alpine CrossFit. Not only are we introducing a new Saturday Seminar (Coach Ian and his Double Under Clinic) but we are also taking part in 2 incredible fundraising opportunities for the community.

  • 2017 Battle Series: The Battle Series is an online competition which raises funds for Everyday Warrior.¬†Everyday Warrior is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded with the primary mission to inspire, empower, and financially support individuals in the CrossFit community who have been diagnosed with cancer and are currently undergoing treatment (everydaywarrior.org). This particular foundation hits our Alpine family very close as one of our athletes lives were touched by the organization and helped through a very tough time in their spouses health.
    • Athletes will register through the Battle Series website and we will host the Online Competition WOD’s at Alpine for all athletes to participate:
      • Week 1/WOD 1: September 15th
      • Week 2/WOD 2: September 22nd
      • Week 3/ WOD 3: September 29th
    • Follow the link above to register!
  • 2017 LiftUp Autism: Back in October 2013 Josh Everett, TrainHeroic, and more than 350 boxes in the fitness community rallied together in spectacular fashion to support the Autism community in a worldwide workout event called Lift Up Luke.
    • This competition for a cause sought to support early diagnosis and treatment of Autism, raise funds for the Autism Tree Project Foundation in San Diego, and most importantly, turn a global spotlight on the measured and severe impact of Autism on families and individuals around the world.
    • THE WORKOUT (LiftUpAutism.org)¬†

      “LUKE”

      5 MIN AMRAP

      • 4 Power Cleans: 155 lbs. Men/105 lbs. Women
      • 24 Double Unders
      • 10 Pull-Ups

The “Luke” workout is challenging but accessible. We have scaling options to accommodate athletes of all abilities and experience levels.

    • LiftUp Autism will take place Saturday, September 30th for all of our classes (8/9/10:00am).

We hope all athletes take part in these 2 amazing opportunities. These organizations are doing some incredible things and our Alpine community is ready to take part!
