Today we are re-testing 1RM Deadlift!  We do this about a week after each squat cycle.  Even though we rarely Deadlift during a squat cycle, we still find big gainz in this lift.  In fact, after our last cycle, a majority of our members PR’d by 50% more in their Deadlift in comparison to their PR’s in their Back Squat.  In other words, people added 10-20lbs on their Squat while also yielding 20-40lbs (or much more) on their Deadlift.

Workout of the Day
Deadlift – Find your 1 rep max.
5-5-3-2-1-1-1-1
 
 
*The 5-5-3-2 is your warm-up then start the singles around 90% of your current 1RM.  Similar to the Back Squat 1RM, where you start and end during these singles depends on how much you have progressed over the 6-week Back Squat cycle.
*Rest as needed between the heavy singles and do not exceed four max attempts.
