*UPDATE FROM YESTERDAY’S POST for Saturday’s Fundraiser*   If you haven’t had a chance to read about Kevin Ogar and his recent tragedy, we would love for you to take a moment to do so.  Please see yesterday’s post and also visit
This Saturday (8:00am – 11:00am) we are going to host the WOD “Ogar” as a Fundraiser for Kevin.  One important note – we are going to write one large check on behalf of our Alpine community for Kevin.  So please bring a cash or check donation on Saturday morning for Kevin and we will pool the money together for one large donation on behalf of ACF (thank you to Alan and ISH for this idea!).  Family and friends welcome!  We will scale this WOD to ALL LEVELS!  Please make checks payable to Alpine CrossFit and we can even run your membership account for you if you would like to pay with a credit/debit card.  THERE IS NO CHARGE FOR THIS WORKOUT BUT PLEASE DONATE WHAT YOU CAN!  If you have already donated online,  then we will add that into a separate total but please tell us what you have already donated.  ACF will also be making a generous donation on Kevin’s behalf as well.  I will personally deliver all of our donations to CrossFit Unbroken (Kevin’s Affiliate) on Alpine’s behalf.


 SATURDAY SCHEDULE: We will run this WOD every 30min and will have a coach to warm you up and dial in your movements for 30min prior to your start time. Please sign up in advance on the main board at Alpine.  Gym will open at 7:00am.
“Ogar” Heats:  8:00am, 8:30am, 9:00am, 9:30am, 10:00am, 10:30am
On a personal note, what we are witnessing is incredibly touching and something really remarkable.  Everyone from Games champions to CrossFit HQ to your average CrossFitter across the Nation & Globe has been getting behind Kevin and offering an incredible amount of support.  In my 4 years in the community (and even years of other sports), I have never seen such love and comradery for one CrossFit athlete and helping them in a desperate time of need.  WE ARE TRULY HONORED TO BE A PART OF THIS FOR YOU KEV AND WISH WE COULD DO SO MUCH MORE!!!

Three sets of max rep Chest to Bar Pull-ups
*Add all three sets for total #
*Rest no more than 60sec between each set
For Time:
2000m Row
75 6″ Target Burpees
10 Rope Climbs (Sub 20 Rope Pulls)
*Standard Alpine 11′ Rope Climb – Start with knees on the ground, head to rafters, return to ground in control and no jumping
*We will reverse the movements of this Chipper if needed (for the rowers)
