Time to test some 1RM’s! Overhead squat 1-1-1 Power clean 1-1-1 Bench press 1-1-1 *Similar to a CrossFit Total you have 3 attempts per lift, no more or less. You’ve probably been hearing the buzz and yes the 2012 CrossFit Open is exactly 3 months away. Crazy soon!!! For many of you, this will be your first year competing and we need to know who is committed to training for the Open. EVERYONE (and I TRULY mean everyone) is currently prepared to take part in the Open and your coaches sincerely hope that you all participate in the 5 CrossFit Open WODs which will start February 22nd. Its only $10 to register and we record and submit your WOD scores online. Regardless of your skill or fitness level, we really want you to be a part of this 5-week event. FOR REAL! We don’t want you to miss out on this. The post on the white board has just been there to get you all thinking about it but we now need to know who is in so we can exploit and perfect your weaknesses, get you stronger, more conditioned, etc etc. In fact, we will be starting an 8-week strength program for everyone next week with set “Strength Classes” in the evenings (more details to come post-Thanksgiving). The goal for the 2012 Games is to get a Team (3men/3women) and a few individuals into Regionals, but more importantly, to have everyone participating in the Open and have A LOT of fun as an Affiliate! We’ll see how it plays out but we will most likely host a few of these WODs at Alpine from Feb 22-March 25. Really looking forward to this!!!
