Today’s post is a tribute to B-RAD and his 1st place finish last weekend at the FRCF Master’s Championships.  Brad turned 60 recently and after three years in this competition, he found his first podium – the top step!  His performance was incredible, finishing with a score of EIGHT points through SEVEN events: 1st, 1st, T1st, 1st, 1st, 1st, 2nd. He truly found another gear this weekend and remained incredibly focused through the exhaustion of seven events.

….Did I mention that Brad did SEVEN workouts/events in TWO days….oh yeah, and that he is SIXTY years young?!  Hope you’re as inspired as I am =)

On a separate note, Brad has overcome so much in his life – a truly remarkable story where CrossFit has helped him climb out from “the depths of hell” as he describes it.  I only know part of his story but he has become a real inspiration to Lily and I, our coaches, as well as others at Alpine.  If you don’t know Brad, then come visit the 8:00am class and he’ll be there ready to work.  I’m sure he’d be happy to share his story with you over a cup of coffee or after a tough WOD.

On behalf of Alpine, we are really proud of you Brad and honored to have you as part of our community!!

Thank you for inspiring us all and encouraging us to be rad, B-RAD!!
