Getting to a crossfit gym, making new friends, getting to dead lift, and setting a PR – PRICELESS!!
(At least I think it’s a PR – 107.5 kilos, which converts to 237 lbs. You’ll have to check for me…)  I did and it was a PR by 2lbs!
So hi! Miss me? Well, I miss you guys. I’m having fun over here, and it’s a great experience, but do miss everybody and getting in for the workouts. I’m doing pretty good working out with body weight stuff, bike every day, and the food is good. Today was the first day I’ve had a chance to make the trip to the crossfit gym. The trainer is great – energetic, encouraging, qualified, very nice (hmmmm, reminds me of other trainers I know!!). He’s a Level 2, and apparently does a lot of the Level 1 certs across Europe. The gym is in a garage, and the minute I walked in, I knew I was in the right place, i.e. kettlebells, 24″ boxes, rings, etc. 😉 You should have seen this one guy – apparently he’s a marine with the Dutch force. Deadlifted close to 600 lbs – it was phenomenal to watch.
