Q: HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN DOING CROSSFIT? WHO OR WHAT GOT YOU STARTED?
A: I’ve been doing CrossFit on and off for almost 10 years. Most of those earlier years were just one or two workouts a week, as I played a lot of soccer back then. It wasn’t until I hung my cleats up that I decided to dedicate more time to CrossFit. And the fact that Alpine is amazing, I wanted to spend more time at the gym.

Q: TELL US A LITTLE BIT ABOUT YOURSELF: (FAMILY, CAREER, HOBBIES, INTERESTS)
A: Originally from Kansas (Go Chiefs!), I moved out to Colorado 15 years ago. I am so lucky to have a great network of friends and a wonderful family that I am extremely close to. I’m Super Aunt to two nieces and a nephew who I adore and spoil often.  I am a huge sports fan – college football is my favorite. I love a good action movie, red wine, patio happy hours, road biking and a mean game of Scrabble. Career wise, I am the director of marketing for a global CBD company based in Westminster. It is a challenging job, but I enjoy it and truly believe in our wellness products that can help people now more than ever.

Q: WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE MEMORY AT ALPINE CROSSFIT?
A: That is a hard one, as I’ve had so many great memories at the gym. But my favorite has to be when Allison, Karly and I placed third at the Granite Games last year. I spent a lot of time at the gym that winter and it was a great feeling knowing it paid off.

Q: WHAT WAS YOUR WORKOUT REGIMEN BEFORE JOINING ALPINE?
A: I’ve always been passionate about staying active. Alpine just inspired me to take fitness to another level. It should come as no surprise that I am very competitive, and with soccer no longer being an option for me, CrossFit has been a great outlet for me.

Q: HOW HAS CROSSFIT AFFECTED YOUR LIFE OUTSIDE OF THE GYM?
A: I love being strong enough to move things or carry things that a lot of people aren’t able to do.

Q: IF YOU COULD WRITE A BOOK, WHAT WOULD IT BE ABOUT?
A: Probably all the crappy dates I’ve been on.

Q: WHAT CATEGORY WOULD YOU BE LEAST EXCITED/MOST EXCITED TO SEE ON JEOPARDY?
A: Least Excited – Geography / Most Excited – Pop culture

Q: WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST WORKOUT, AND WHAT DID YOU THINK AFTER DOING IT?
A: I actually don’t remember my first workout. I do remember being hooked from day 1 and vividly remember doing Cindy early on with knee push ups and ring rows

Q: WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE AND LEAST FAVORITE WOD?
A: Favorites include Kelly, Annie and Nancy. Fran is my least favorite.

Q: WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE AND LEAST FAVORITE MOVEMENTS?
A: Favorites: Wall balls, double unders and cleans. I have a love/hate relationship with the assault bike. Least Favorite: Thrusters, devil presses

Q: WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE A NEWBIE JUST GETTING STARTED AT ALPINE CROSSFIT?
A: Be consistent and take a little extra time to work on your weaknesses.
