How long have you been doing CrossFit? Who or what got you started?
My wife and I started about 6 years ago as a way to work out more together.
Tell us a little bit about yourself
I grew up in Nebraska and after going away to play golf in college, came back home and finished up at University of Nebraska at Kearney. My wife and I have 3 amazing kids who keep us very busy and always on our toes. I run a restoration company here in Denver and still try to play as much golf as possible.
What is your favorite memory at Alpine CrossFit?
Lots of ones so far.......Annie's bike warmup, getting my ass kicked daily by my wife at the gym and giving Ian crap for his programming!
What was your workout regimen before joining Alpine?
I used to run a lot before my old man knees started to hurt and lots of bro days at 24 Hour fitness.
How has CrossFit affected your life outside of the gym?
I feel like it's made me feel younger and kicked my metabolism back to where it was in my 20s.......plus I love to eat.......without Crossfit I'd be like Chunk from Goonies.
If you could write a book, what would it be about?
How your attitude and outlook affects your life/relationships/faith. We all have a daily choice on whether it's going to be a good or a bad day.....

What was your first workout, and what did you think after doing it?
At our first gym, we did "The Seven" on my first workout and I thought I was going to pass out. Definitely loved the feeling once it was done, but was severely questioning my decision during the WOD.
What is your favorite and least favorite WOD?
Murph I love to do, always look forward to that one. DT and I aren't friends any more....
What are your favorite and least favorite movements?
I enjoy most WODs with bar work (T2B, BMU) and dislike deadlifts cuz of my old man back
What advice would you give a newbie just getting started at Alpine CrossFit?
Don't stress if you don't know the terminology/movements/lingo. Just take it one day at a time and keep showing up....
